Belizean Actors have traveled a tough road to get their break in the movies. The fact that Hollywood had to come to Belize for some of them to be able to show their talent is truly a blessing from God. We taped a few actors as they went through their first Hollywood style audition, we all must enjoy the process and make the most out of each opportunity. I want Belizean hopefuls to always remember that every time you are in front of the camera you are becoming a better actor and you are improving your craft. Always believe in yourself and keep your dream alive. Dare To Dream!!

Afar Region, East Africa
Welcome To Afar:
I just got the word that we will be returning to Ethiopia to start our 3rd film on the Continent of Africa. This project will be shot in Ethiopia & Belize with the Sony EX3 camera package. The project will feature the people of The Afar region in Ethiopia and The Garifuna people of The Stann Creek District in Belize, both groups share a long and interesting history. The script will be completed by mid June so we can start to film in late August. This project will allow us to highlight both Belizean & Ethiopian culture and feature the musical chant of the people of Afar. The project is the brain child of Ethiopian producer, DJ Alemayehu & Belizean producer, Nigel P. Miguel. The Film will also feature Daryl Chill Mitchell in his feature film directorial debut.

The Inmates Are Running The Asylum
Behind the scenes footage from Global Asylum Movie "Mega Piranha". In the scene we are setting up, our hero is attempting to escape from the bad guys as he drives through the streets of Belize City. The cast & crew are working hard to make this production the best it can be and the locals on the south side of Belize are very happy to take part in movie. Rumor has it that the crew has been putting in 14 hour days to make sure that the film is done in time. WOW, who says that Kriol no like hard work?

Flying Lobster
Flying Lobster is a special cuisine only found in Belize, I want to let everyone know that we will be serving it during the Belize Film Festival July 16th - July 25th.
Daryl Chill Mitchell was right at home when he visited the outer islands off the coast of Belize. All Belizean consider Chill a hero and love what he's doing for the country. Keep up the good work brother and we look forward to you picking up your NAACP Image award on the Feb. 26th.
